Plates have to be functional but also fun so that the child will be more enthusiastic about eating. Safety and ease of cleaning are 2 of the must factors for child’s plates. Most plastic plates are not microwavable so the food would need to be heated beforehand in hot water. It is very important that the dishes do not stain or maintain food smells, these plates do just that. The one thing that is a negative is that the paint starts to chip after about 6 months of daily use, which is not too bad as this is still plastic which tends to wear.  I had a few other brands of plastic plates and these are the best. Another alternative are rubber plates which are healthier but are harder to clean and tend to retain smells. The capacity of the plate is also great, it can hold quite a bit of food.

Once your baby starts eating solids a good plate is necessary. The plate needs to be durable, easy to clean and made from healthy material.

The plate is pretty durable when it comes to falling on the floor. The top paint layer starts to deteriorate over time. I would not use the one plate for more than one child. The price is not very high and you can buy a plate for each child.
